Amir A. Khan is a Principal at Halifax West and is a seasoned financial and operations management professional with nearly 20 years of experience at private and public companies. He has extensive experience with early stage start-ups, PE backed international conglomerates and several private to public company transitions. His responsibilities have included financial planning & analysis, fundraising, treasury, investor relations, and multi-site operations.

Prior to joining Halifax West in 2023, Mr. Khan was the VP Operations at Local Bounti where he aligned multi-site supply and demand dynamics, institutionalized KPIs and helped take the company public through the SPAC vehicle. Before joining Local Bounti, Mr. Khan led the financial planning & analysis team at View Inc and played an instrumental role in also taking this company public.

Prior to joining View, Mr. Khan operated as an independent consultant helping with fundraising, operational streamlining and business development efforts of several companies in the food and agtech space. In the period prior to his independent consulting work Mr. Khan worked at BrightSource Energy where he led financial planning & analysis, discrete treasury responsibilities and corporate finance activities. Prior to joining BrightSource Energy, Mr. Khan assessed middle market opportunities in the healthcare, education and business services space as an associate in private equity firm Primus Capital. Before joining Primus Capital, Mr. Khan spent four years at Lehman Brothers advising companies in the power and energy space on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financings and recapitalizations.

 

Mr. Khan holds an M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Energy from the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, where he was the recipient of the CJ White Grant Scholarship. He also holds a B.A in Economics from Duke University.
