Armen Avedissian is a Principal at Halifax West and has over 18 years of experience in various financial advisory roles including restructuring, turnarounds, cash management, creditor negotiations, capital raising, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Halifax West in 2022, Mr. Avedissian was a Managing Director at B. Riley Advisory Services (formerly GlassRatner Advisory & Capital Group) where he provided restructuring, turnaround, fiduciary and liquidation services to distressed companies, senior lenders and private equity groups. Prior to joining B. Riley, Mr. Avedissian was a Managing Director at Sherwood Partners where he advised distressed companies, senior lenders and private equity groups on restructuring, turnaround, and liquidation matters.

Before joining Sherwood Partners, Mr. Avedissian spent five years in the Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice at FTI Consulting, Inc. where he played a key role in advising distressed companies in the alternative energy, automotive, entertainment, healthcare, pharmaceutical, real estate and technology industries. Additionally, he was a member of the firm’s investment banking practice, FTI Capital Advisors, LLC (member FINRA/SIPC), where he advised a diverse group of middle-market companies, both healthy and distressed, on capital raising and mergers and acquisitions transactions.  

 

Mr. Avedissian holds an M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he received the Graduate School of Business Merit Scholarship, a J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and a B.A. in History and Political Science from The University of California, Los Angeles. He is licensed to practice law in the State of California.
