Misha Levit is a Director at Halifax West, bringing a diverse background with over five years of expertise in the financial services sector. This experience spans across investment banking, private equity, and private credit.

Prior to joining Halifax West in 2023, Mr. Levit held the position of Vice President of Private Equity at Abacus Investments in Birmingham, Alabama. During his tenure at Abacus, he played a pivotal role in leading the sourcing, due diligence, execution, and negotiations for transactions primarily in the Healthcare Services and Business Services sectors. His work at Abacus Investments involved sourcing and executing transaction sizes ranging from $20 million to $125 million in Total Enterprise Value.

Prior to Abacus Investments, Mr. Levit worked with Merion Investment Partners. His responsibilities at Merion included aiding in the execution of credit transactions and participating in the fundraising efforts for Merion’s 4th SBIC Mezzanine Credit fund. Additionally, he gained valuable experience as an Associate at Ames Watson, a Maryland-based Consumer & Retail buyout firm focusing on value-based investments. At Ames Watson, he was instrumental in executing buyouts of distressed Brick & Mortar Retailers and leading various value creation initiatives at the portfolio company level.

Prior to his work in financial services, Misha Levit had a career in software engineering. He developed healthcare-related software for numerous hospital systems in the USA, working with companies like DXC Technology and Cognizant.

Misha holds an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Boston University.
