We are thrilled to welcome Ross Wakefield to the Halifax West team as our newest Principal. With over 13 years of experience in revenue cycle management and HealthTech development, Ross brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of success to our organization.
Prior to joining Halifax West, Ross served as the Chief Operations Officer of a tech-based healthcare staffing company, where he addressed the national nursing shortage and provided strategic advisory services for Artest Management Group, a prominent family office.
Ross held positions as a Healthcare Director at Huron Consulting Group, where he collaborated with national health systems and hospitals to enhance revenue cycle efficiency and profitability. He also served as a Revenue Cycle Manager at Prime Healthcare, specializing in revitalizing distressed hospitals.
In the realm of HealthTech development, Ross has made significant contributions, including his work on notable apps like GetHeal, a telehealth-focused mobile app that secured a $100 million investment from Humana. Additionally, his role as a project manager at Esri involved leading a digital mapping initiative to improve polio vaccination coverage in Nigeria for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Ross's talent and dedication were further recognized when he won the 2011 Firenze Design Contest, endorsed by Microsoft.
Ross holds an MBA with concentrations in Finance from the University of Redlands and a BS in Architecture from the The Ohio State University. He is also accredited by HFMA as a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative.
