Ramesh Swamy

Ramesh Swamy is the Founder and a Principal at Halifax West where he participates in all aspects of the firm. He is a Lead Advisor on Advisory engagements and he is also involved with several Halifax West companies.

 

In association with Anna Barbara Films, an award-winning film production company and creative content agency based in LA & London, Ramesh participates as an Executive Producer on film and television projects.

 

Prior to Halifax West, Ramesh served as the Executive Vice President, Operations & Strategy at Curacao, a consumer and retail company focused on Hispanic / Latino communities. He reported directly to the founder and Chief Executive Officer and was focused on driving bottom-line profitability for the company.

 

Prior to Curacao, he served as the U.S. Retail & Distribution Leader at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, LLP. While in this role, he provided leadership to a National team of Advisory professionals overseeing 400% growth in revenue over a 5-year period. In addition, he led highly successful initiatives of critical importance at some the world's most prominent consumer companies including CVS, The Home Depot, 7-Eleven, Guess?, Lowblaw, LowePro, SuperValu, HBC, Logitech and many others creating millions of dollars in value.

 

Ramesh is also a nationally recognized business leader and a widely sought-after conference keynote speaker, author and media spokesperson. He is often quoted around the world in hundreds of major publications read and seen by millions in media including: The Associated Press, USA Today, Bloomberg, Forbes, Los Angeles Times, Reuters, Washington Post, and many others. He also appeared nationally on TV (CNBC Closing Bell & Street Signs, NBC Nightly News) and radio (NPR, ABC, AP) and in industry webinars viewed live by over 2,000 executives at a time.

 

From a non-profit perspective, Ramesh serves on on the Board of International Pemphigus & Pemphigoid Foundation and previously served on the Boards of Directors of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles and the Association for Corporate Growth Los Angeles where he held leadership roles on various sub-committees and had a tremendous impact.

 

Ramesh's education includes a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University, an MBA from Pepperdine University, CPA (California), CPA (Canada), Series 79 & 63 (inactive) and Executive Education in Project Management from USC and Retail Strategy & Management and Leadership from Babson.
