Ross Wakefield

Ross Wakefield is a Principal at Halifax West and is a healthcare professional with over 13 years of experience in revenue cycle and HealthTech development.  

 

Prior to joining Halifax West in 2024, Mr. Wakefield was the Chief Operations Officer of a tech-based healthcare staffing company addressing the national nursing shortage.

Prior to these positions, Mr. Wakefield was a Healthcare Director at Huron Consulting Group, where he worked directly with the C-Suite of national health systems and hospitals to improve their revenue cycle efficiency and increase overall profitability.  Additionally, he was a Revenue Cycle Manager at Prime Healthcare, which focused on acquiring distressed hospitals and improving their financial performance.

 

Within HealthTech Development, Ross has worked on notable apps including GetHeal, which was a mobile app focused on telehealth and at-home physician visits that received a $100m investment from Humana.  At Esri, Ross served as a project manager for a digital mapping initiative focused on improving polio vaccination coverage in Nigeria for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  He is also the 2011 Firenze Design Contest winner as designated by Microsoft.

 

Ross holds an MBA with concentrations in Finance from the University of Redlands, and a BS in Architecture from the Ohio State University.  He is also accredited by HFMA as a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative.
